Hi Kevin,

When you do the blogger landing page, start a new campaign and put your keywords in that. Don't use the same campaign that was slapped.

Also it shouldn't be too hard to get Google to like your site since you already have a lot of the attributes it likes.

At first glance, I would say, add a privacy policy to your site and link to it from that page.

Make sure you start with a new campaign when you go to advertise your site again.

I tried one of your suggestions with no luck. My website at http://www.GolfClubsHome.com was "slapped". I had been making decent money from it running an Adwords campaign. I have tried various things with no luck. I tried the suggestion of creating a blog at Blogger with the keyword I was targetting. Put this in my Adwords campaign, but still was required to pay $5 or $10 per keyword. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi Chris,
As I was affected by the last google slap, your report seems to be a great answer to the problem.
That said, I built a new ad group for one of my campaign, and put in it just one keyword that was required to 0.40$ in my older adgroup. Then I added the plural version of this keyword, and I give as the destination url a page of my site which is a content one strictely targeted to this keyword, whith great unique content, no ads, no gimmick, nothing that google doesn't approve.
What happens ?
My two keywords where approved at 5ct. Great !!!
But, but, but ....
The next day, the plural version was always to 5ct and the SINGULAR version to 40ct.
My page contains several times the singular version in title, h1, content, etc, and not one time the plural one.
Aaaaaarrrrrghhh !!
I am starting to be crazy !!!
How can you manage thousands keywords if you can't even understand why one of them doesn't work?
You say that we have to make specific landing pages for each narrowed group of keywords, and I understand and approve that, but now, if I clearly understand, we have to build our site specifically for Google ?
Hmmmmm ....
"Ask you if you would have built this site the same way if the search engine didn't exist! " - Big Google -
The no end story....
Very, very frustrating
I know that "the thing" work for many of you, but when you are catched by google and no guidance to help, your life begin to be miserable.
I am not silly. Google is.
Anyway, a real thanks for your report.

Chris,

This was by far the most helpful and interesting article on this subject. I am not sure how to make it all work but an certain I'll figure it all out. I have been making money with Adwords but I think this will give me a big jump.

Thanks for all of your help and efforts.

Take care and have a good safe holiday season.

This last article is a brilliant description of what happened and how to combat it. The wait has been worth it Chris - thanks.
PS
You mention using blogs as web-site-substitutes, do you think Jeff Walter's RNW might be worth adding to the list of URL's at the end of the retort?

Chris,

thanks a lot for your very thoroughly researched report. As always great stuff.

One question:

When you use a landing page because your competitor already has displayed an ad for your merchant can you then nevertheless use the merchant url as DISPLAY url even your competitor uses the same DISPLAY url?

Thanks.

Chris,

This is the most up-to-date and clear report on the Google Slap available.

Very easy to understand, and they're some tips promoted by other people which you explained will no longer work. Great stuff.

thanks,

Great article, Chris. That puts it all into perspective.

I saw the jumps to $5 keywords on my some of my Adwords ads. But, I've really enjoyed a new effect of the November Google slap. I'm actually paying 1, 2 or 3 cents per click on some ads -- and getting lots of impressions.

One tip for your final publication in the new GoogleCash book -- "Word Press" should be "WordPress" (no space in the middle).
